Visit the worlds most incredible cavern dive. Floating through this dreamland of natural formations in crystal clear water you can feel the ancient and timeless forces of nature that carved the cavern. With a maximum depth of 30 feet (10 m) and never more than 150 feet (50 m) from air, there is 1,500 feet (500 m) of cavern to see without ever leaving the light zone. The tours are lead by experienced , full cave certified guides, in groups of no more than four. Come and experience the dive of your life!

First Dive

The first dive is a traverse from one cenote to another. During this 45 minute dive you will explore the vast cavern zone of Dos Ojos (Two Eyes). The crystal clear waters offers unlimited visibility and gives the feeling of flight, as you silently view the unbelievable beauty that has made this cenote so famous. The play of light and colors combined with the awesome formations make this dive a truly unforgettable experience.

Second Dive

The second dive is to the Caverna de Murcielagos (Bat Cave), which takes you through galleries ranging from huge columns and stalactites to very fine and intricate formations. This is truly a mind blowing area and often divers are so impressed that they come up to the surface speechless. This dive has been described as having the most intense beauty of any cavern in the world.

Dreamgate Cenote

Explorer “Buddy” Quattlebaum , has long been recognized as one of the foremost underwater cave explorers in this region of Mexico, and, indeed, in the world. One of the original pioneers of the guided cavern dive in the Riviera Maya, his contribution has been invaluable in making it possible for countless divers to experience the unparalleled thrill of diving the new frontier of the cenotes of the Yucatan. Indeed, the great majority of these divers have commented that they would be hard put to it to find a more spectacular dive anywhere. But now, Buddy has done it again: an even more spectacular experience awaits the adventurous diver, as Dreamgate Cenote beckons. Officially opened exclusively to clients of Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park in September of 2003, initial reviews are unequivocal—Dreamgate surpasses any other cenote, even Dos Ojos and the Batcave, where Buddy pioneered guided cavern dives in the early ‘90s. For the many divers who joined him then and in the years since, it may seem extremely hard to believe, but even Buddy admits he is amazed by Dreamgate.

The Upstream Dive

The initial part of this dive is extremely deceptive, as the view above the surface does not prepare one at all for what lies below—it seems like a small and unremarkable cenote. Dropping a few feet down and forward offers the first view of a gigantic chamber, more than two hundred feet on a side. A true hall of wonders, it is lined top and bottom with fantastic and delicate formations still in pristine condition. From behind, the daylight illuminates this amazing panorama with luminous blue highlights; in front, it recedes away into an ethereal and seemingly endless gallery of amazing proportions.

The Downstream Dive

This dive takes the better part of an hour, about fifty minutes, at an average depth of 10-15 feet. The route in meanders through an awe-inspiring variety of formations that characterizes this system. The scale is grander, if possible, than before, and even the most jaded diver cannot help but be astonished by the profusion of natural decoration, seemingly on every visible surface. The entry culminates in an airdome, a huge underwater room that affords a dazzling display of “live” cenote, where the process of formation is still underway.
